Matthew D. Watkins is an associate with the Louisville law firm of Lynch, Cox, Gilman & Mahan, P.S.C.  He joined the firm in 2006 and his practice primarily includes business & corporate law, trusts & estates, employee benefits and taxation.  

Prior to joining Lynch, Cox, Gilman & Mahan, P.S.C, Mr. Watkins was an associate with the law firm of Goldberg & Simpson, P.S.C. and before that a solo practioner in Chicago, Illinois.

A native of Louisville, Mr. Watkins graduated from the University of Louisville and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English in 1998.  He earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law in 2002.  In 2003, he earned his LL.M. in Taxation from DePaul College of Law in Chicago, Illinois.

Mr. Watkins is a member of the Louisville Bar Association, Kentucky Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association and American Bar Association.  He is admitted to practice in both Kentucky and Illinois and is a member of the Bar of the United States Tax Court.
